Blurt.

I live in a world where the media suggests what we should believe in.
They put out the images and we follow.
We conform when we don't even realize it.
Everybody wants to live "the life"
But what is it exactly?
Who the f*ck knows.
Some religious group of individuals believe tomorrow is the end.
Yup, supposedly tomorrow sometime I'll be up in the sky.
Blahhhhhhhh

Peeeeek.

Single Life.

I'm 23. And I've been single for almost 3 years. Now if that doesn't sound like an eternity then you must not be human. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed the single life for some time, the "no ties", "no strings attached" type of situations, but ultimately I would rather be someone's main squeeze. Us humans crave that companionship and love you get from a romantic relationship. No one can tell me otherwise, no matter how exciting the single life may seem. We weren't placed on this earth to experience life alone but with today's set of morals I bet I have a bunch of individuals who would beg to differ.
Well you know what? I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for myself. I am tired of the "single life", I'm ready for that lifetime "hold me down through thick&thin" companion. Not asking for a ring tomorrow or anything but I'm ready for that unconditional love and affection. I'm not asking for too much. I do know that being single this long teaches you a thing or two about how to approach your next relationship. I most definitely tend to proceed with caution, just to make sure it'll be right. I don't want to get into to something just for it to go sour in a couple months. Naaa. Someone who won't give up easily is what I need. I've dealt with the guy who is all in until he starts to fall and pushes me away, and the guy who wants to lock me down, yet still play the field. I'm over that.
What's next? I look at my brother who got married at 23 and look at myself and draw a blank... I would love to follow in his footsteps and marry the guy of my dreams but it doesn't look like that may come to reality. Well at least not now. And that's cool because I don't see me actually married right now, but on the path to be.. Yes.

Idk. The single life isn't all it's cracked up to be. And a relationship done right is something that everyone deserves. I don't want a knight in shining armor to come sweep me off my feet but damn, let a girl get sunthin real. But in the meantime, I'll just be here. Enjoying life. One day at a time.

Thoughts Released.

Politics Smolitics. Yeahh. I was never the one to entertain such. Yesterday as our nation cheered and celebrated the death of the "Al Qaeda" king, Osama Bin Laden, my excitement quickly faded as I begin to think about the reality of what just happened and how this may affect our nation.

After being a fugitive to the United States for almost 10 years after the horrific terrorist attacks that killed thousands in NYC&DC, Osama is finally dead. Supposedly President Obama and his administration manifested some covert operation that has been in action for years now. And surprisingly yesterday was the day that he was finally sent to his demise. I have lots of questions though. A Presidential address and 2 hour news coverage from CNN is not enough to persuade me that our nation is on it's way back up the totem pole.

I understand that Bin Laden was a very dangerous man who did abhorrent things to the United States and other countries but why must we celebrate his death? Ohh I get it now.. an eye for an eye huh? Mannn, our problems are far from over. And to me, his existence has nothing to do with what our country is going through right now. Our troops are still overseas fighting an endless war. Gas prices are raping our salaries as it continues to rise to almost $5.00. And does this man's death REALLY mean the "Al Qaeda" is finished for good? How do we know that he didn't have people under him ready to take his place in case something like this did take place?

I'm trying to understand if our government is looking out for their nation's best interest or just for the benefit of themselves or those in higher power. I just pray that Osama's death doesn't provoke his followers to attempt a retaliation. We really can't handle that right now. As much as the 9/11 attacks unified us, 9 1/2 years later it seems we're not as patriotic as we were.

With sooo many problems going on in our country amongst these 50 states, I really do not get why we are in all these other countries around the world trying to solve their problems. We have people over here who can't even go to the hospital because they don't have healthcare. And the education ordeal? This college girl is gonna shut up about that because that is indeed another can of worms. SMH.

Ohh wait. One more thing. Osama has supposedly [already] been buried close to sea to respect his Islamic religion poilicies.. THAT fast tho? I don't know how I feel about that. I have not seen anything to seal the deal for me. For all we know, the media and government are just playing puppet master as we continue to conform and just be gullible to whatever information they decide to tell us.

We gotta keep an open mind nowadays. This world we live in is crazy and I'm beginning to feel like nothing is as it seems. I'm through with my venting today.
